Learn More About Our Cessna 172 Aircrafts
OC Flight lessons exclusively uses a fleet of Cessna 172 aircraft. This allows training to be standardized across all aircraft. Powered by the highly reliable Lycoming engine, to date, over 43,000 Cessna 172 aircraft have been manufactured. It is quite simply the work horse of the industry, and has proven itself to get the job done for flight schools. With it’s stable high wing design, it is the perfect platform for students to learn from. In a testament to its reliability, on December 4, 1958, Robert Timm and John Cook took off from McCarran Airfield in Las Vegas, Nevada, in a used Cessna 172, registration number N9172B. They landed back at McCarran Airfield on February 7, 1959, after 64 days, 22 hours, 19 minutes and 5 seconds in flight. The flight was part of a fund-raising effort for the Damon Runyon Cancer Fund.

We Pride Ourselves On Routine Maintenance And Scheduled Inspections
Our maintenance philosophy is simple, take good care of your equipment and it will take good care of you. Our aircraft are maintained to the highest industry standards. The FAA requires inspections every 100 hours. We go above this standard by conducting inspections and service every 50 hours. For every 100 hours spent in the air, we spend an average of 20 hours conducting maintenance to each aircraft.
